To all of our Uniformed Service Members – thank you for all you do and know that your sacrifices are recognized. A few of you folks that I’ve worked with have worn the uniform of our country and I so appreciate your service. Take a minute and watch this tribute. While all the reunions are great, check out the 3rd one. A teen boy, certainly not embarrassed to hug his Dad like a lot of teens I know, runs to him and the momentum carries Dad back a few steps. Some people, especially those who get hired as independent contributors or non-supervising management, don’t know how much organized labor fought for. Do you get paid vacation, sick, personal, and grievance time? Thank organized labor. Do you have any form of retirement plan? Thank organized labor. Do you have a company paid benefits package? Thank organized labor. Are you forced to work over 40 hours without getting paid overtime? No? Thank organized labor. There is so much more that Unions have done to help build the middle class of this nation, and so much that large companies and politics have done to destroy it, right Mary Simionato Linhart?
