I’d like to buy a WTF???!!! Homophobic racist #PatSajak of #WheelofFortune, has decided that if you believe the worlds leading scientists and the likes of Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson, that you are an unpatriotic racist. Sorry, Pat, but as far as global climate change is concerned, I usually don’t put much faith into uneducated Emmy Lifetime Achievement award winners. I’ll stick with astrophysicists and their peers. The only reason I can believe that you would add racists is because of the ancestry of Dr. Tyson. #KarenGriffith, #SteveSchwartz, #HarryFriedman, #SonyPicturesTelevision – for this comment you should reexamine his contract. Commenting on the beliefs of people and even the research of scientists is one thing, questioning their patriotism and calling people racists is another. Hey #PatSajak – as Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson notes, “The good thing about science is that it’s true whether or not you believe in it.” http://ift.tt/1i0NkiP Here’s a better way to look at it, Pat. Think of two possibilities with two actions and their 4 outcomes. Possibility 1.) The world’s leading scientists are correct. Possibility 2.) The world’s leading scientists are incorrect. Action 1.) We do nothing, change nothing. Action 2.) We do everything to change, including carbon restrictions, heavily tax carbon based fuel, highly subsidize solar, wind, geothermal, hydro, even nuclear. Outcome 1.1.) We die. The earth’s abilities to heal itself are overcome, and man is no more. Very few animals live on. Many insects die. With heavily polluted water sources, even the simplest life forms will have a hard time adapting. Outcome 2.1.) We live with cancers and many other bio hazards caused by smog and the generation of energy by carbon fuels. We continue to fight wars for oil, and we continue to pour money into big energy. We, too, find water pollution difficult to adapt to. Outcome 1.2.) We start to heal the earth. We remove health hazards from smog, soot, etc from places like coal burning power plants. We start to end acid rain. Our water becomes cleaner. Energy independence comes to every nation on earth. Man continues to dominate the planet in good ways, becoming conservators. Outcome 2.2.) We remove health hazards from smog, soot, etc from places like coal burning power plants. We start to end acid rain. Our water becomes cleaner. Energy independence comes to every nation on earth. Man continues to dominate the planet in good ways, becoming conservators. Do you see that by doing nothing, EVEN IF THE MAJORITY OF LEADING EARTH SCIENTISTS ARE WRONG, gives us close to the same outcome? Do you see what it means if we change, even if they are wrong?
